[Memo]
This will be one of my favorite dives ever. We stopped at a sea lion sanctuary. We had to fight a medium current so we didn't get too far from the boat. Many of them swam up to us while we were checking out the rocks near shore and we played with them while looking at other sea life. Then we followed a few out to the sandy bottom. There were many of them hanging around the anchor of our boat. Some even tried to bite the chain. We were about 10 divers around the anchor. Some sea lions would sneak up behind divers and bite their fins. They would stay down for a long time then spiral up to the surface for a minute and spiral back down. They liked to swim at us real fast then bear their teeth and blow bubbles about 3' from our faces and take off at a right angle. We stayed and watched for over a half hour. Lucky we were at the anchor because the current was almost too strong, so we pulled ourselved to the boat along the chain to get back. While we took our decompression stop, someone dove off the boat right on top of us. When we got aboard, we could watch the sea lions circling on the surface and diving down. Way cool!
