This was the last of Billy and I's trimix certification dives. The plan was to have a short, relaxing dive, drop to the bottom of Lower Orange and come back. We did just that. We kicked real slow, dropped in, looked around and came out. Right as we turned (at 160ft), John motioned to Billy that Billy was out of air. Billy signaled me and told me that he was out of air. I hesitated it because I didn't expect it at 160ft. He motioned again and I promptly handed him my reg. We swam back to the restriction and Billy passed me my reg back. We worked our way back out through the restriction, watching our depth to start deco, following our tables at 90ft. We followed tables to about 30ft where John told us we could switch to computers and come out. I forgot to change gasses on my computer at 20ft when I switched to oxygen and realized it about 3/4 the way through the stop (when Billy was done before I was :-). I switched gasses and we went to the 10ft stop. Billy was done after a couple of minutes and I had 5 min left. I knew that Billy's computer was more conservative than mine and that the tables we cut said we should be out so I went ahead and blew my last deco stop and came out. It was kinda cool to see my computer turn red and tell me to go back down. :-P

When we got out, John told us that we did very well and have turned out to be real good divers. He said that he enjoys diving with us and that we can dive with him any time. Most importantly, we passed the class and are now trimix certified!!
