[Memo]
I told Derek that we would not rush him and that we would not continue unless he was ready and comfortable. We went in to the entrance of the cavern. Waited a bit until Derek was comfortable enough to continue. Went down to the next ledge and waited again. Continued like this until we found ourselves at 60 ft, around the corner, just past the warning sign. I kept the only lights so I made sure that I was in control of how far back we went. David signalled that he wanted to go deeper into the cave. I looked at Derek and shook my head "no". He kept inching his way back in. I tapped Derek and motioned that I was going to cup my light. He nodded. I cupped my light. It went pitch black. I kept it that way for about 30 seconds. When I uncupped it, David signalled to me that I am number 1! :-P We all laughed.

Derek signalled that he was cold. Once again, he had no wet suit. I was surprised that he made it that long. We slowly worked our way back up to the top. I checked out various passages along the way.

Great dive! I was proud of my students. :-)
