Since I couldn't dive with Heather last weekend, I called her and offered to take her this weekend since I would be there with the family. She was excited to go. I picked her up Saturday morning and took her out to Ginnie. We went to the Ballroom. The water level was pretty high - about half way up the steps. We geared up and went in. We cruized around slowly, took our time seeing the sites. We went down to the grate. Saw a couple of fresh water eels. Went up around the back of the rocks. Checked out all the nooks and crannys along the way. I showed Heather the tight swim-through. Her first attempt at going through it was not successful. I signalled her that she needs to be perfectly horizontal to get through. She tried again and made it. I went through without problems since I was in my sidemount gear. We swam around the cavern some more and went back around the rocks again. This time, she went through the swim-through with ease. By this time, we had already seen everything. We played around a little more, then I signalled that we would surface and talk. We went up, talked about the dive and I asked if she wanted to go in for another. I wanted to conserve my gas for another dive. She decided to play around in the basin.

Many other divers were starting to enter the water. I watched Heather from the side until I could not see her any longer. I put my reg in my mouth and started swimming across the basin until I saw her on the far side. I swam around with her for a bit while watching the other (OW) divers stir up the bottom. It started raining so we decided to end the dive and get back to the truck and family.
