This was Yvette's final checkout dive. She seemed much more comfortable. Once she had her buoyancy, I took her out to Peace Rock. We turned on the lights and looked down the line. She signalled that she was OK and wanted to proceed down the rope. I moved ahead and off to the side so I could watch her. We worked our way to the bottom. At the bottom, I stopped and had her cup her light and look up. I showed her that you could still see light from the surface and it was easy to find an exit. We worked our way around the back, then cut up between some of the large rocks. We worked our way back around while staying on top of the rocks at the back of the cavern. I could tell Yvette was much more comfortable on this dive! She did very well with her buoyancy and seemed to be enjoying her tour around the cavern. We went back over to the ascent line to begin our exit. I signalled to her that we were going to do a safety stop. I showed her a knot in the rope at 15ft and told her to watch it and try to maintain her depth without touching the rope. She did very well! This was a very good dive!
