I figured Cow, being one of my favorite spots, would be fun for Dave. When we got there, there was already a team going in. We took our time getting ready to give them time to finish their dive. As we were getting ready, another class came in. :-(

We hurried up and got in the water. I let Dave run the reel again and told him to practice his buoyancy. I took the reel from him to help him get it properly tied to the log. When I turned around, he was on his back in the silt. I couldn't help but to laugh. :-P I gave him the reel back and had him follow me into the downstream cavern. I pointed out places where he could tie-off to keep the line out of the way. He did a good job but didn't look too comfortable.

I took the reel and tied off to the main line and had Dave OK the line and work his way back out. He was still having issues with his buoyancy so I stopped him, grabbed the reel and reeled us back out.

Before ending the dive, I wanted to show Dave the upstream entrance. I signaled for him to follow me. I went down, through the restriction and turned around. He was right behind me with his head in the restriction. I signaled for him to hold while I attempted to take a couple of pictures. There wasn't enough light for a good shot. I signaled for him to back out. As we got out of the upstream chute, the other class was getting in the water. We stayed off in the darkness and watched them flounder around and silt things up. :-) As they headed off into the downstream cavern, we made our quick exit. Nice dive!
